For years you may have planned extravagant celebrations and nights out on the town, but in recent years,  have you found yourself scrambling for ways to celebrate New Year’s Eve with kids?

You may have already picked out your little black dress for that special night out, or let’s be honest, your favorite sweatpants, because we all know how scarce AND expensive babysitters are on this one night of the year.  But, no matter what your plans may be, you still need some great ideas to celebrate with the kiddos!

Fun Ways to Countdown:

When celebrating New Year’s with kids, counting down to the magical hour is a must.  We found a few fun ways to incorporate a countdown into your celebration that kids and adults alike will enjoy!

Decorate with Jen’s simple balloon clock countdown from The Suburban Mom. This is a creative way to help kids visualize the countdown and will add some fun decor (or a cute photo background) to your celebration!

Another awesome countdown idea that is sure to keep your kids entertained and HAPPY are these New Years Eve Countdown bags from The Dating Divas.  You can get the printables and plenty of ideas for your bags on their site!

These New Year’s Even Countdown bags might be one of our all time faves!  These bags make the countdown a little more fun and exciting! Leanne at Organize and Decorate Everything puts her own spin on this fun activity.
